Cash For Caulkers – On the heels of the popular Cash for Clunkers program comes the Cash for Caulkers program that will provide stimulus for home weatherization projects.

The Cash for Caulkers program would stimulate sales of home improvement products from stores like Home Depot and Lowes, and would also put contractors to work.

The idea of a home weatherization stimulus program like Cash for Caulkers is not new, but has recently gotten more attention in Washington as Obama deliberates on job creation programs.

More details of the program are expected next week, but a rough outline of the home improvement stimulus suggests that the government would split the cost of of weather proofing their homes with the homeowner. More stimulus or just more Obama stumbulus?
While many people don’t agree with more government spending on stimulus programs, many know it is inevitable and will take advantage of programs like Cash for Caulkers like they did Cash for Clunkers because they will be paying for it with their tax dollars anyway. Stay tuned for more details about what the home improvement incentives will included.
Will you take advantage of the new spending spree dubbed Cash For Caulkers?

Are there any updates to the Cash for Caulkers article? I would like to split the cost with the government to install insulated windows.

I came across your post while I was searching for details on kitchen cabinets. While it isn’t really just what I was looking for, I enjoyed reading through your article. Will bookmark to return and read at a later date. Interesting how Yahoo works…
