GOP Purity Test – Here is the list of questions asked on the proposed GOP Purity Test officially called the Proposed RNC Resolution on Reagan’s Unity Principle for Support of Candidates that will be voted upon in January.

If a candidate disagrees with 3 or more of the questions on the GOP Purity Test, there will be no funding or party support.

Here is the list of 10 questions.
GOP Purity Test
(1) We support smaller government, smaller national debt, lower deficits and lower taxes by opposing bills like Obama’s “stimulus” bill;
(2) We support market-based health care reform and oppose Obama-style government run healthcare;
(3) We support market-based energy reforms by opposing cap and trade legislation;
(4) We support workers’ right to secret ballot by opposing card check;
(5) We support legal immigration and assimilation into American society by opposing amnesty for illegal immigrants;
(6) We support victory in Iraq and Afghanistan by supporting military-recommended troop surges;
(7) We support containment of Iran and North Korea, particularly effective action to eliminate their nuclear weapons threat;
(8) We support retention of the Defense of Marriage Act;
(9) We support protecting the lives of vulnerable persons by opposing health care rationing and denial of health care and government funding of abortion; and
(10) We support the right to keep and bear arms by opposing government restrictions on gun ownership
Knowing the inclination of most politicians, wouldn’t they all simply lie to receive GOP funding? Will they take the so called Proposed RNC Resolution on Reagan’s Unity Principle for Support of Candidates test connected to a lie detector? Will they call in the Lightman Group from the TV show Lie to Me to determine whether the candidates are true Reaganites?
Or will the candidates who pass the GOP Purity Test and receive funding and support do what they’ve always done on both sides of the aisle? Pay back those they owe favors to, forget that they were elected to REPRESENT their constituents wishes even if what THE PEOPLE want does not promote their own political agendas?
How would you answer the questions? Watch for the vote in January on the GOP Purity Test.

Let me start by saying, I voted for Ronald Reagan, twice, and supported him in everything he did. After he turned the country in a new direction, it was time for a “kinder, gentler” commander in chief, George HW Bush. He was able to nurse the country back to health after the harsh pill that President Reagan administered.
These 2 great men were just what the doctor ordered and I will always be proud to call them MY presidents.
Unfortunately, since then we have had nothing but embarrassments in the Oval Office.
One a wanna be rock star and the other a simpleton and puppet of Big Business and Big Oil.
What happened to the “Contract with America”? Term limits and a tight rein on government spending. Those words somehow faded during the 12 years the Republican’s had power in the Congress. No Social Security reform after they harped on that to get elected. Now, they want to oppose any changes just to spite the opposition. And the average American family is struggling make ends meet and is one tragedy away from losing a lifetime’s work of savings.
What the Republican and Democrats need is to get back to the main philosophy of Presidents Reagan and Bush 41. With these 2 great men, the country got the feeling we were all in this together. We felt they were looking after the BEST interest of the country.
Today, neither side cares about the country as a whole and that is why today the country feels more hopeless than in the ’80s. There are just too many selfish people on both sides.
I still have not made up my mind on President Obama. He really hasn’t done that much. I am so tired of Republicans trashing him and blocking any of his efforts without producing a viable alternative.
There is a time for partisanship. This is not it. The stakes are too high and if a leader does not arise from either side to say enough is enough. America is headed for disaster or even worse, mediocrity.
