Andy Warhol Paintings Stolen – Ten Andy Warhol paintings were stolen from the Los Angeles home of art collector, Richard Weisman, and are valued in the millions of dollars.
Among the paintings stolen were commissioned works of Muhammed Ali, Chris Evert, Kareem Adbul-Jabbar, Dorothy Hamill, and OJ Simpson.
Art collector and friend of Andy Warhol, Richard Weisman, was not home at the time of the robbery, and there was no sign of forced entry according to police.
Each pop art painting that was stolen was work on silk and measured 40 inches square. The artist died in 1987 and his work was considered bizarre but remains very collectable and very valuable.
A million dollar reward has been offered for the return of the stolen Andy Warhol paintings.
