Six Flags Death – In a bizarre accidental death at Six Flags, a 17-year old boy was decapitated after walking beneath the Batman ride, a high-speed roller coaster.

In the latest Six Flags death, the 17-year old boy decapitated at Six Flags was on a church outing with his family. He’d left the park for lunch with a friend, then on his way back in he hopped two fences into a restricted area beneath the Batman roller coaster to retrieve his hat.

The Batman ride involved in the accidental death was going 50 mph when the teen was struck and instantly decapitated.

The boy’s decapitation death at Six Flags was witnessed by hundreds of people who flooded 911 with calls and the ride was immediately taken out of service.

“We do not know why this person was intent on gaining access to this restricted area, as multiple signs clearly state: Danger Zone/Do Not Enter/Authorized Personnel Only,” said a statement from park spokeswoman Hela Sheth.

“Some witnesses have stated that the individual was trying to retrieve something he had lost,” Sheth said. “Others reported that he was trying to touch the ride. This is merely speculation at this point, and we are working with park visitors and local police to learn more.”

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family,” the Six Flags statement said.

The 110-foot Batman roller coaster opened in 1997 and features a top speed of 50 mph, two loops, two corkscrews and a heartline spin. A previous accidental death in the same restricted area in 2002 involved a maintenance worker who was struck in the head by a rider’s foot.
And that’s the latest news on the teen boy decapitated at Six Flags.

This is sad. I think they should get police to guard the ride stable. Or just close down six flags.

While obviously tragic for the kid, People really need to look at signs and pay attention. These parks are full of rides that are dangerous if you don’t use them properly and follow the rules. Honestly, if there’s a bunch of signs and gates waring you that something is incredibly dangerous, you have to take a hint, or just stay away from the parks altogether. People going to these places should know, at the very least through common sense, that these rides are stressful on the body to ride and dangerous if you don’t follow the rules. There’s not much more these people can do to protect the riders.

honestly u cant blame six flags for the death, the kid PURPOUSLY passed two fences into a restricted area. im not saying he deserved it, but its his fault. everyone knows these kinds of parks are dangerous, let alone any kind of park, if people followed the rules and rides were CONSTANTLY checked things wouldnt happen.
i wonder if he ever got his hat back before he died

i feel bad but its sort of predictable. i have no clue why he hadnt just waited untill the ride had stopped and asked a worker there to retrieve his hat or whatever. turns out common sense isnt so common.

Close down six flags!?! You people are stupid… the kid was in a restricted area and jumped two fences to get a $10 hat!?!?! He was a moron for ignoring the warning signs… Remember the idiot who jumped in the tank with the “Killer Whales”…hello!?!?!? They are named killer for a reason…oh ok lets jump in and swim with the big fish and ignore the warning signs posted every 10 ft!!!!
