I think this story has had an absolutely appalling ending. People make mistakes all the time, but this does not mean that they should be tortured or ridiculed for it. I think that it is very important for every parent to teach their children to treat people as they wish to be treated. I remember my little cousin making a list at home of people she wanted to come to her birthday party and the people she did not want coming, and her father sitting down and telling her how mean that was and to imagine how she would feel if she were to see her name on such a list. Today my little cousin is an amazing student and very caring and nice.

I challenge parents to take a stand and teach their children positive things and how to be the bigger person, etc. This bullying has got to stop, an I think it is the responsibility of the school, the parents, and anyone who sees or hears about bullying that can take a stand.

For all of you leaving negative messages, grow up and hope that something like this never happens to you or anyone close to you.

My heart goes out to this family, and any other family who has had to endure such a horrible tragedy.

I’m sure the ex-boyfriend’s conscience would haunt his inner peace day and night that could also possibly drive him crazy and regret the worst crime he has ever done.

Just becoz somebody has broken up with you, it’s NOT an excuse to expose your ex-partner’s nude photos. You are indirectly killing the person–you kills the person’s dignity, peace of mind and yes, leading to suicide itself.

Sweet revenge isn’t it? NOT!! It’s too much of a revenge. No girl in this planet deserved to be sexually exploited.

I am so sorry for Jesse and her family from the bottom of my heart (though i don’t know her personally).

This is a LESSON to us: respect people no matter how “slutty” a picture may be… and don’t be too quick to judge!

I am so disgusted by the comments left on this story, and I hope the parents of that beautiful girl do not EVER see this page. I hope you all sleep well, knowing you have tarnished the memory of a young girl whose life had so much potential, and if any of you are parents, I pray for your children.

I am even MORE disgusted that the webmaster of this site allows such atrocious comments to be posted. Shame on you all.

Anyone on here blaming an 18 yr old for her suicide is completely ridiculous and probably not a parent. 18 may be legal age but anyone with a brain knows an 18 yr old is still mentally a child. The real victim of suicide is the person who is DEAD because they were so sad, they couldn’t live on.

To those on here talking about posting nudes….you are sick and need help….why not go play in traffic?

This poor baby is the victim of bullying just like Megan Meier and just like many other teens.

And the ex who passed this photo on will surely pay on judgement day just like the rest of you who are so vulgar and careless with your actions and words!!!

This is really a tragedy and my heart goes out to her mother. This young lady might have made a poor choice by sending those pictures but she was young and people make mistakes. The young man who thought it was funny to send the pictures to other people also proved that he is a long ways from being a man and he needs alot of guidance in his life. A real man does not share intimate moments with anyone and it doesnt matter if he is mad at that individual. I have a teenage daughter and I know that peer pressure can sometimes over rule parenting but you can not quit trying. Parents give their children to much freedom with computers and cellphones and they need to monitor whats going on with their kids. Your teenager might get angry with you but who cares at least they are alive. I made my daughter clean up her my space because to me it was trashy. I said you are a 3.5 student but if I didnt know any better, from looking at your my space it looks like you plan to use your body instead of your brain to accomplish things in life. I said if you are a beta student then you need to act like it. I dont regret giving her advice and using punishment when I am disrespected….whats important to me…is watching her become the young lady that I know she has the potential to be. There are alot of Jessica Logan’s out there but do something before it is to late and to all of the people who felt like she deserved it…then you are just as sick as he was for sending those pictures. It could happen to someone in your family. The truth was that she was a beautiful girl and the only reason why those girls pick on her was because they were jealous.

Zenith you’re too harsh man. I can see your pt. of view but who amongst us haven’t done really stupid things when we were just kids. I’m 40 now and I think back to some of the dumb things I did surely not any less stupidier than what this girl did. Luckily I had good friends and family. The other poster was right – maybe all it needed was someone to stand up and call the bullys out and be a friend.

And the mom, tho I feel sorry for her , she seems like she wasn’t aware how serious this was until it was too late. Talk to your kids – let them know how much they mean to you and that they can confide in you.

What’s REALLY sad is that she sent a naked picture to some guy. Or maybe that the guy was a big enough asshole to send it to the whole school… but if I was in high school I’d definitely make fun of someone for putting a nude picture out there. So again, I come back to the fact that she made a stupid decision and couldn’t handle the consequences. Plenty of people make the EXACT SAME stupid decision and deal with it, then move on. (As an example, Vanessa Hudgens didn’t kill herself and she was under much more public scrutiny that this girl.)

Oh, and let’s be clear: she didn’t “make a mistake and then pay with her life”. If some kid got drunk and drove into a lamppost, that’s making a mistake and paying with your life. She DECIDED that her only option was to kill herself. There’s a subtle but very important difference.

No but really when you get down to it Zenith is completely correct, but maybe a little too aggressive. You can’t do something like that and expect no consequences. Life is difficult sometimes and you can’t just run away from it. She had many options including leaving and going to another school. Suicide is not instantly sad just because they took their own life. And furthermore the boyfriend should receive no punishment other then feeling guilty that he gave out something personal of hers. She was 18 and everything was legal. It may not have been morally correct, but he can do whatever he likes with any picture if it doesn’t involve minors. I’m not sad or glad, I’m indifferent. She was very foolish for sending out that picture and even more foolish for killing herself.

The suicide, any suicide is no one’s fault but the person who died. If she decided to be a slut and send pictures of herself to a guy she knew she wasn’t going to be with forever, then that’s her problem. If she can’t handle it when the pictures SHE SENT OUT get passed around, and people talk about it, then she deserves it. If you can’t handle life, you should remove yourself from it.
