The parents’ fault is two-fold: not teaching their child enough about the potential consequences of inappropriate behavior, and more importantly, not responding to her crisis as a parent should.

I get that exciting, flirty, kind-of-bad behavior that goes along with young love, but her behavior DIRECTLY reflects that of her parents. Kids are dumb. Always. The boyfriend likely did not foresee the consequences of his forwarding, and Jesse likely did not foresee the consequences of trusting her boyfriend.

Which brings me to the second and more important issue: it is absolutely HILARIOUS to me that people find it acceptable to place blame ANYWHERE other then squarely on the shoulders of the adults in the community. WHO are the mature role-models of the community?! Jesse’s parents did not respond to her problem appropriately.

What is appropriately? Contacting the boyfriend’s parents, taking initiative to inform other parents, being available to their daughter. This situation should have been in control of the adults of the community from the start, and it starts with (pardon my language) pussy-ass parents who assume their children have the emotional maturity to deal with such issues when they OBVIOUSLY don’t.

For Christsake, even just moving to a new town may have helped. Be the adult and make the right choices.

Personally, I hope the boy who paved Jesse’s path to suicide will be known for and recognized as just that for the rest of his pathetic life. As for the vindictive, hateful, and probably jealous, girls who harassed Jesse, I hope that her death weighs heaviest on their evil minds.

And to Jesse….I’m so sorry you had to be in the presence of such vile people during your short time on this earth. Rest in peace, beautiful girl.

I challenge parents to take a stand and teach their children positive things and how to be the bigger person, etc. This bullying has got to stop, an I think it is the responsibility of the school, the parents, and anyone who sees or hears about bullying that can take a stand.

For all of you leaving negative messages, grow up and hope that something like this never happens to you or anyone close to you.

Just becoz somebody has broken up with you, it’s NOT an excuse to expose your ex-partner’s nude photos. You are indirectly killing the person–you kills the person’s dignity, peace of mind and yes, leading to suicide itself.

Sweet revenge isn’t it? NOT!! It’s too much of a revenge. No girl in this planet deserved to be sexually exploited.

I am so sorry for Jesse and her family from the bottom of my heart (though i don’t know her personally).

This is a LESSON to us: respect people no matter how “slutty” a picture may be… and don’t be too quick to judge!

This poor baby is the victim of bullying just like Megan Meier and just like many other teens.
