I have visited 95% of these cities and agree that statistics
dont lie.. everyone has a common thread…these are
lower income areas that “breed”, excuse the word, poverty and crime…that crosses all racial boundaries..
The schools all have one thing in common.. they expect the parents to have the children prepared when they come to school..
Thats not happening. ..so when we start over, we train parents, help children at a much younger age, through outreach programs.. and change things. we can then
change the list ..
We have a new president, a role model for the minority population.. and now No Excuses..
But we have to start over and go to the neighborhoods and work with parents and …make sure these kids go to school prepared to exceed…
Then.. they are successful.. they don’t drop out… and the neighborhoods change..

I wonder what does it mean to be dangerous. It all depends on the definitions we are working with. If being dangerous is due to the murder rate only or if it comes from other factors considered at once. This is an important issue, since the list could remain the same even if the crime rate lowers 90%. Even if the so called criminal behaviors lower a whole lot, the list can remain the same as it is due to the fact that in other communities this behavior is even lower. I am currently living in st. Louis, MO, and I do not perceive this part of the city as dangerous as the little town I used to live in Puerto Rico. Then, it all depends on the terms of the evaluation.

Well I live in Youngstown. Let me tell you this, the difference between 1 and 20 is HUGE. In NO you probably can’t walk down the street. All big cities have bad parts. What people don’t take into consideration NO has a population of over 2 mil. Places like Compton and Youngstown are fairly small. Youngstown has a population of about 80,000 and their #15. This country is horrible….

Cities like New York, L.A., and Chicago are not listed because they are not as dangerous as movies shows and music potray them to be its called hollywood people this is where the richest of the rich and famous live, too much money in these cities to be as ghetto as most think. I have to say that I am VERY surprised that Milwaukee isn’t on the top 20 and Minneapolis is. It makes me think that the other cities they’ve listed up there aren’t really bad. Im not from Milwaukee but I have lived in both MPLS and Milwaukee and MPLS is much more settled and relaxed.

I have lived in Flint all my life. It’s good Flint came down on the list……….but after these last 2 weeks, we’re gonna probably be right back at the top. And Detroit is only about 45min-1 hour away. And we’re both at the top of the list. This is crazy. Gary, Indiana is not a a place to be reckoned with by far, and they like half the size of Flint. When I fly to other cities for business, I look at these places like, this isn’t sh*t compared to Flint. It’s a blessing I made it 28 years in this hell-hold. Bottom Line, No region is, or has done it like the MID-WEST!
