Hair Cloning – Follicular cell implantation or hair cloning is the newest rage in hair loss treatment. The new hair replacement treatment is already showing positive results in human clinical trials.

Hair cloning was presented at a hair replacement conference in Rome and is being studies by a group in Britain. This new cell therapy for hair loss can increase hair count in about two thirds of patients within six months.

Follicular cell implantation takes dermal papilla cells from the back of the scalp, then ’clones’ those cells using a patented method. The ‘cloned’ cells are then injected back into the scalp where hair has been burned, lost to cancer treatment, or simply lost due to age.

This method of hair cloning is said to work best when the treated area is first stimulated by mild abrasion prior to injecting the new cloned hair cells.

The British group, Intercytex, believes the new cloned hair replacement method could be available within five years. The full results of the 48 week study will be available next year.
And that’s the lates news about Hair Cloning.
